We encountered a barge and when many got off the river we decided to take on the 4' waves head on and this thing conquered them it was a blast. Otherwise, if the heavier person is in the front, that pushes the front of the boat down and causes the back of the boat to ride higher, making the back of the boat essentially hydroplane across the water and be very unstable because there's almost no boat in the water. The lake was very choppy to begin with (about 20-25mph winds). If you hit a rock on grade 3 the boat splits or holes far to easily. We haven't had the chance to take it out in anything but very nice weather, so I won't be able to comment about anything other than some power boat wakes (which it handled deftly and easily).
